What is your name in full and how did you come about your stage name?
ANSWER: Well... My name is Adeniji Olawale. I got Wale from my name then Ciza from the influence of the bible (laughing)
If you didn't become a musician, what would you be doing right now?
ANSWER: I would probably be a footballer. If I'm not doing music.
What will you say has been your challenge ever since you started music?
ANSWER: A lot of challenges like money, how to break into Nigeria music industry has been critically challenging due to finding the right channel to link up with and scams are also part of it.
What do you feel is the best song you've ever released and why?
ANSWER: "MOFE " is the best solo song I've ever released because I wrote this song on sober reflection, I hope you can understand the rest from there?
Which musician would you like to collaborate with next?
ANSWER: Well... starting from Odogwu Burna boy, Wizzy Baba(Wizkid), Davido, Zlatan ibile etc.
If you can have your fans remember one thing about you, what would it be?
ANSWER: My song I would say, because if you listen to each of my songs they have pleasant meanings that is easy to understand and that's the simplicity I want them to remember me for.
Can you tell us a little about your background?
ANSWER: Well, I am originally an Abeokuta indigene I was born into the family of Six, Five boys and One girl, I grew up in the street of Lagos and also had my education in Lagos as well.
Who is your mentor?
ANSWER: Jehovah is my mentor but I grew up listening to the likes of King Sunny Ade, Sir Shina Peters, Ayinla Omowura, Fela Anikulapo Kuti and I must confess that after Jehovah they've been my mentors so far.
What really got you into music?
ANSWER: I love music, I've been a music freak since I was a kid; I remember when my father used to have this old stereo system and every morning I would stick very close to the speaker trying to know how the person was able to be speaking out from there (laughing).
If you could date any other musician (or celebrity), who would it be and why?
ANSWER: TENI, Yes Teni.. If you do ask me? Because so that we can write songs for each other.
Do you have your own style or way you use in singing?
ANSWER: Yes, actually I have and I would say my style is Afro funk.
If you had one message to give to your fans, what would it be?
ANSWER: I want to thank each and everyone that have been showing love so far and gracious Jehovah would reward them all with grace in multiple folds but my message to them is keep supporting WALE CIZA.
