Nigerian Lady, Scammed By Best Friend and Her Husband Cries Out For Help From The Government and Other Nigerians.
While it is pertinent to understand that nobody deserves to be a victim of fraud , so many Nigerian Youths have been victims of this situation by close family or friends and find it hard to come out to express how they really feel due to the negative comments people would throw at them.
The case of Udeme Ekoriko is so touching as a single mother who is trying to take care of her children, aged mother and herself.
I begin to wonder how many people continue to dupe people of their hard earned funds and turn around to change the narrative.

Her video explains in details her experiences in the hands of a said “best friend “
OLUWADAMILOLA AYODELE, who apart from withdrawing monies from Udeme’s bank account in the USA (an account they once operated together)
She took to borrowing monies running into millions of naira on behalf of one FELICIA ADEBISI both residing in the USA.
All attempts to recover $150,000 from this duo has proven abortive as they would not take their calls or respond to text messages for over a year now.
Damilola’s husband SUCCESS EKPENYONG in a bid to have a flamboyant wedding ceremony in June 2021 borrowed the sum of #2,000,000 (two million naira) from Udeme and since then has been at large and incommunicado though still in Nigeria.
The nation and good willing Nigerians understand that women empowerment is so important and women in business need to be protected by governing bodies and the agencies put in place to check situations like these.
While she also explains that she has involved the authorities, it is pertinent that more anti-graft agencies take this matter up seriously to ensure that there is JUSTICE FOR UDEME!
*ARDN President Announces programmes for 2022 Africa Open for Business Summit.
The President of African Renaissance and Diaspora Network (ARDN), Dr Djibril Diallo, has announced that the 2022 Africa Open for Business Summit will be held at the United Nations Headquarters, New York on Thursday, 29 September 2022, at 3:00pm Eastern Time, on the occasion of the Seventy-Seventh Session of the United Nations General Assembly.
The theme for the summit, "Economic Empowerment of Women through African Continental Free Trade Area," falls within the framework of ARDN's Red Card Campaign to put an end to all forms of gender-based discrimination and violence.
Speaking during a press conference held to unveil the programme theme, Dr. Diallo noted that the Summit seeks to inspire and empower women leadership in the private sector and across sectors, highlight and normalize Sustainable Development Goal 5 (Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women), and emphasize the importance of ensuring that business and trade on the continent is conducted in a sustainable and responsible manner.
"Africa is a continent of enormous hope and promise; and the AfCFTA, and its innovation, is reflective of this hope and promise," said Dr. Diallo. "However, it must be reiterated that unless women are able to share, on an equitable basis, in its fruits and benefits, AfCFTA will be a moral failure and never achieve its true potential."
"This year's Summit seeks to ensure that women's choices, voices and leadership are, and remain, front and centre in discussions about, and in the implementation of, AfCFTA," Dr. Diallo said.
Adding his voice, Akeju, ARDN Red Card Goodwill Ambassador, media director, and executive producer for the campaign theme song noted that the influence of entertainment, particularly music has helped spotlight the growth of Africa while calling for cross-border partnership for sustainable business and development of the African continent.
Organized in collaboration with the Permanent Mission of the Republic of Senegal, the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), the United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women (UN Women) amongst others, the Summit will create and formulate solutions, initiative and opportunities for achieving a better, more equitable world, through and with the support of business.

Residents of Abule Taylor community in the Abule Egba area of Lagos State have lamented incessant gunshots every midnight in the area.
The residents, who spoke to our correspondent, also decried the activities of burglars and miscreants who terrorised people in the community.
A resident, who identified himself simply as Biggie for security reasons, said he realised he was not the only one aware of the situation when he got a call from a neighbour while another shooting was going on.
He said, “A neighbour called my phone one midnight to alert me when he heard the gunshots. I told him that wasn’t the first time such was happening. It has been the case since a man in the neighbourhood was shot dead inside his house while wrestling with armed robbers.”
Another resident, Kola Ajayi, said the neighbourhood also had the same challenge in 2019.
He, however, lamented the activities of miscreants and burglars in the area.
Emmanuel said, “The house opposite the open space where we hold our CDA meetings was recently broken into by burglars who carted away all the property. The principal culprit is from Abiodun Aina Street. He has been disowned by his mother.
“Also, armed robbers do attack and extort those who use Automated Teller Machines in the area. The kiosks where alcoholic drinks are sold in the area are becoming a safe haven for criminals who launch operations from the base.
“We’ve complained to the Lagos State Government, but no serious action was taken. The joint CDA wrote a letter to the Commissioner of Police to deploy officers in the area. However, what the officers were doing was checking vehicle particulars.”
The CDA Assistant Chairman, Okolo Chukwuedo, said, “There was a time a man was killed on the street where the CDA chairman lives. His house was broken into by the people who shot him dead
The Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, could not be reached for comments as of press time..”
Nigeria actress, Nkechi Blessing Sunday, has slammed people who criticized her for sharing sex toys as souvenirs at her mother’s memorial ceremony on Sunday.
Backlash had followed the viral video of her announcing and thereafter distributing the gift to the female guests at the event.
Via her Instastory on Monday, the actress urged her critics to leave her alone.
Nkechi stated that some of those criticizing her on social media do not take care of their parents as opposed to her.
The actress boasted that she took care of her mother before she died, saying in Pidgin English, “Even people wey don forget their parents wey never die sef dey talk. Everyone around me knows I don’t joke with my family.”
She went on to say that the cake and celebration were for her late mother’s posthumous birthday and that no one deserves any explanation from her because they were not there when she suffered with her family.
“25th was my mother’s birthday hence the cake and a little party to host a few friends. Not like you all deserve any explanations on I choose to do with my own life. Cus when we dey suffer/hungry I no see any of una, So make all of una try rest.”
Following court ruling ordering the Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU to call off its ongoing nationwide strike, the Federal Government has ordered vice-chance Following court ruling ordering the Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU to call off its ongoing nationwide strike, the Federal Government has ordered vice-chancellors to re-open campuses to call back students for lectures llors to re-open campuses to call back students for lectures
The order was made in a letter by the National Universities Commission, NUC was addressed to all vice-chancellors; Pro-Chancellors and chairmen of governing councils of federal universities, according to NAN
In the letter signed by the Director, Finance and Accounts of the NUC, Sam Onazi, on behalf of the Executive Secretary of the commission, Professor Abubakar Rasheed the Vice Chancellors were asked to ensure that ASUU members immediately resume/commence lectures.
They were also asked to restore the daily activities and routines of the various University campuses.
“Ensure that ASUU members immediately resume/commence lectures; restore the daily activities and routines of the various University campuses”, the letter reads.
Recall that ASUU had embarked on strike since February 14 to press home the demand for improved funding for universities, a review of salaries for lecturers, among other issues.
Several meetings between ASUU and the Federal Government have ended in deadlock due to non- agreement in the demands
The federal government went to court to challenge the strike but the union insisted it would not resume but however appeal the court’s ruling.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that on Sept. 21, the National Industrial Court of Nigeria (NICN) in Abuja ordered ASUU to suspend its seven-month-old strike.
The judge, Polycarp Hamman, gave the order in a ruling on the federal government’s application for an interlocutory injunction against the ongoing ASUU strike.
The federal government’s counsel, James Igwe, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), had filed the application seeking the court’s order restraining ASUU from continuing with the strike pending the determination of the suit initiated through a referral by the Minister of Labour and Employment, Chris Ngige.
Hamman, in granting the order on Wednesday, dismissed ASUU’s objection to the application.
The union’s lawyer, Femi Falana, SAN, had urged the court to dismiss the federal government’s application, and instead, grant an accelerated hearing of the main suit.
Hamman agreed with the government that irreparable damage was being done to the lives of students rendered idle by the ongoing strike.
He said not granting the injunction would only cause additional damage to the ambitions of young Nigerians.
He cited examples of the National Youth Service Corps and employment in Nigeria’s armed forces where age is a requirement for participation and employment.
He also said the Trade Dispute Act prohibits parties from engaging in an industrial action when disputes have been referred to the industrial court, the Industrial Arbitration Panel (IAP) or when a conciliator has been appointed.
Falana, ASUU’s lawyer, had argued that the affidavit filed by Ikechukwu Wamba, a legal officer at the Ministry of Labour and Employment in support of the application should not be admitted as the deponent was neither a member of the university community nor part of any meetings held with the union.
But the judge Hamman disagreed, saying Wamba as a legal officer and a member of management at the labour ministry had access to the official documents of the negotiations as well as offering legal advice to the minister.
The judge also disagreed with Falana’s submission that the government has not made necessary moves to curtail the strike since it commenced in February.
He said pieces of evidence from meetings with the government which began days after the strike until 1 September proved negotiations had been ongoing.
However, addressing reporters after proceedings, ASUU’s counsel, Edorjeh Edo, said the union has options and will study them for further actions.
“There are quite a number of actions open to the union. We will study with the legal team and then we will adopt the most appropriate action,” he said.
ASUU accused the federal government of reneging on a 2009 agreement on matters such as increased funding of universities and increasing lecturers’ salaries
ASUU had since filed 14 grounds of appeal to challenge the order.

Doubt have been something common working with fear making me feel I'm wasting my time, like even if I'm doing something i love something i feel is meant for me still i feel there is no space for me in it, like i won't blow up cause I'm afraid people might probably not like what I do or something cause i ain't as good as the others. Is everything I feel is like me myself and I are fighting on who will take over but I just want to do me cause I've understand that no matter what I do not everybody will like me, I believe that even if 100 people hate me 100 different people will like me I guess they all have their views on how they look at me so I can't change what they believe all I can do Is me and I know that I will always be lock with God-COde and no body can't hack it that is a fact.
So just always believe in anything you do and love cause it will glow and show the world someday as long you don't give up. JUST BELIEVE
